Site has been updated!
A new theme based on Blix for the complete domain of bijland.net, Blix has been updated for latest wordpress and pages have been adjusted as well as some css.
It still needs some tweaking and debugging so please report if you find something.
I have been browsing the wordpress codex and building a new theme on top of the blix theme. Blix isn’t wordpress 2.1 compatible, maybe now it is, and has some query intensive pages. This is already solved and layout of this blog is unfolding privately for one massive update so hold on.
After commenting on our season in a previous blog post we had finally some snow today, it is February already and we are 4 months behind Brent but we had snow and that is what counts. At the time I’m writing this its already 6 degrees and the snow will be gone by tomorrow morning I so I can’t enjoy the view another day.
Back from Skiing vacation, Snow was good enough not perfect but then again we had perfect sunshine and it wasn’t cold. I was with five friends and another 954 students at Risoul and they can speak Dutch now. It was a lot of fun as most of my friends where “Debutant” so I was dedicated photographer for them and for my pleasure of course.
Apres Ski was just as fun with Jenga being number one game.

Currently it should be winter, instead we have a temperature average of 8.9 degrees(Celsius) that is 6.1 degrees higher then normal average temperature for this month. I hate it, I rather have 2 degrees or lower. Giving us snow instead of rain that feels like autumn. Giving us a change to skate on natural ice after so many years?
Then again in 2 weeks time I will be up in the France Alps and fingers crossed there will be snow and freezing temperatures.
Gallery 2 Bridge component for Joomla was released and we are at version 2.0.14. This version now uses Joomlalib for configuration and caching, but this will grow with the next release. The major change between last release and this one is I have trimmed down many option and made it more user friendly, hopefully this will reduce support request and overall stability.
A little late but “Merry Christmas”, I had a nice 3 days of Christmas in “Friesland” with family and as good Christmas goes: good food, a lot of talking, catching up and playing conquer the world a.k.a. Risk.
A new game style was invented by in laws, called “emotion risk” or short “EmoRisk”. This happens when you loose 10:3(or worse) and started hitting every country you possibly can. Cleaning out the board and mostly making sure that the next round some one will go for the kill or his/her assignment. Which would lead to another game of Risk.
Last night I went to Cats the musical, It was very impressive but sometimes hard to hear what they were saying, but enough to follow the story line.
It was really fun to see all the blown out of proporsion stage, bike’s that were as large 2 meters (about 7 feet I think). Giving the impression that the actors were smaller. Sad thing is the actors are beautifully made looking like cats but they are too far away to see such detail. So here is a picture up close of a kitten and one of my girlfriend and the leading Cat of the story.
Well getting ready for graduation party of my girlfriend.
First we are going out to have a ncie diner and then 3 doors further we are going to have a party until 02:00 and we will see what we do after that. It’s going to be fun.
